SipSense AI (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is operated by VyBeos and is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our web application and services.

By using SipSense AI, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Information you provide directly

• Email address and password (for account creation)
• Beverage preferences (e.g., preferred wine styles, spirits, cocktails)
• Self-reported sensitivities (e.g., tannin, sulfite, histamine reactions)
• Dietary restrictions you choose to share
• Feedback ratings and reaction logs you submit

Information collected automatically

• Menu images you upload for scanning
• Scan history and recommendation results
• Device type and browser information
• Usage patterns within the app

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and improve SipSense AI
• Generate personalized beverage recommendations
• Improve our AI recommendation engine based on your feedback
• Manage your account and subscription
• Send transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset)
• Respond to customer support requests

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Menu images you upload are sent to Google Gemini (via the Gemini API) for text extraction and analysis. Images are not stored permanently by SipSense AI beyond the duration required to complete a scan. Please refer to Google’s Privacy Policy for details on how Google handles API data.

Payment processing is handled by Stripe. SipSense AI does not store your credit card numbers or full payment details. When you subscribe, Stripe securely processes your payment and provides us with a subscription status. Please refer to Stripe’s Privacy Policy for details.

Your account data is stored on Supabase (hosted on AWS). We implement industry-standard security measures including:

• Encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) for all data in transit
• Row-level security policies restricting access to your data
• Hashed passwords — we never store passwords in plaintext

No method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Scan images are stored temporarily and may be removed after a defined retention period. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.

SipSense AI uses the following third-party services:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage
• Google Gemini API — menu image analysis and text extraction
• Stripe — subscription payment processing
• Vercel — application hosting

Each third-party service has its own privacy policy governing their use of data.

SipSense AI is intended for adults of legal drinking age in their jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect information from individuals under the age of 21. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate personal information
• Request deletion of your account and personal data
• Opt out of any marketing communications
